BACK TO FILM 🎥

Back to work, new toy for shooting film.

A Bolex Paillard H16 Reflex REX 4, a mechanical 16mm camera from the 1960s, completely spring-wound. No batteries, no screen, no memory cards: wind it up, load the film, and shoot.

One little detail I love: this camera was designed to be handheld, and its spring mechanism lets you shoot for a few dozen seconds with each wind. Which basically means that with 16mm, every shot counts.

Can’t wait to take her out for a spin. 🎞️

Last one for @asphalte.men / @asphalte.women

I love static shots.
They inherit the composition of photography.
They embrace the passage of time through cinema.

For a few seconds, everything stands still… until life enters the frame.

It’s the kind of filmmaking that resonates with me the most.

There are some shoots that remind you why you fell in love with cinema in the first place.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by filmmaking.

Out of all the projects I’ve had the chance to work on, this is probably the one that made me feel closest to that dream.

For two days, we had the opportunity to join the @louisvuitton team for the Women’s Spring-Summer 2026 (WSS26) production with @jennifer.connelly

More than 150 people came together to create just a few minutes of film.

Watching so many talented people, each mastering their own craft while working toward the same vision, was incredibly inspiring.

A huge thank you to @numbered.production , JN Production, and the entire Louis Vuitton team for their trust and for making us part of this incredible adventure.

And thank you to everyone who followed this month of sharing.

I can’t wait to tell you the next stories.

See you Slater.

🇫🇷

See you Slater.

They were the first people to trust me and give me a chance.

I couldn’t finish this month of posts without talking about these adventure creators.

I’ve been lucky enough to be part of this team for the past 15 years, starting out as an intern.

I learned everything with them.

Together with @31.22_productions for Désertours, we’ve filmed in extreme conditions across Morocco, Argentina, Cape Verde, and Senegal.

Always surrounded by incredible landscapes.

And if we added up all the shooting days we’ve shared together, it would easily represent more than a full year.

So I simply wanted to use this post to say thank you.

Thank you for giving me my chance.

Thank you Désertours.

Thank you 3122.

See you Slater.
